Overview
This tour is a trail running adventure that combines long-distance running with immersive travel through Mongolia’s raw and untouched landscapes. Across 4 nights and 5 days, participants will run a total of approximately 50 km of trail running, divided across 3 separate running days. The route passes through some of Mongolia’s most iconic natural regions, including Mini Gobi, the Orkhon Valley, Ugii Lake, and Terelj National Park, offering a rare opportunity to run across deserts, wide steppes, forests, river valleys, and highland landscapes in one continuous journey. This is not just a normal trip, but a mentally and physically demanding yet deeply rewarding experience that blends endurance trail running, high-altitude scenery, and authentic cultural encounters into a once-in-a-lifetime adventure in the heart of Mongolia.

Itinerary
Day 1. Mini Gobi
Drive from Ulaanbaatar to the Mini Gobi area, set up camp, and experience your first desert sunset.
- 08:00 – Arrival at Chinggis Khaan International Airport (guide meeting, CU store, exchange money)
- 11:00 – Stop at mart
- 13:00 – Lunch on the way to Mini Gobi
- 17:00 – Camping on the steppe
- 18:00 – Camel riding in the desert
- 19:00 – Dinner and rest
- Total driving time: approx. 5 hours
Day 2. Erdene Zuu Monastery & Kharkhorin City
Morning 20 km trail run in the Mini Gobi area, followed by transfer to the historic Erdene Zuu Monastery and overnight in a ger camp.
- 06:00 – Breakfast
- 07:00 – Morning run 20 km @Mini Gobi
- 11:00 – Finish 20 km and rest
- 14:00 – Lunch on the way to Kharkhorin
- 17:00 – Visit Erdene Zuu Monastery
- 18:00 – Check-in at ger camp near Kharkhorin
- 19:00 – Dinner and rest
- Total driving time: approx. 2 hours
Day 3. Orkhon Valley & Ugii Lake
Run 20 km in the Orkhon Valley, then transfer to Ugii Lake for lakeside camping.
- 07:00 – Breakfast
- 08:00 – Morning run 20 km @Orkhon Valley
- 11:00 – Finish 20 km and rest
- 13:00 – Lunch and depart for Ugii Lake
- 17:00 – Camping by Ugii Lake
- 19:00 – Dinner and rest
- Total driving time: approx. 3 hours
Day 4. Ugii Lake & Terelj National Park
Optional recovery run at Ugii Lake in the morning, then transfer back toward Ulaanbaatar, shopping, and onward to Terelj National Park for horse riding and a night in a ger camp.

- 08:00 – Breakfast
- 13:00 – Lunch (Hot pot restaurant @The Bull in Ulaanbaatar)
- 14:00 – Department store shopping in Ulaanbaatar
- 16:00 – Check-in at ger camp in Terelj National Park
- 17:00 – Horse riding in Terelj
- 20:00 – Dinner and rest
- Total driving time: approx. 5 hours
Day 5. Turtle Rock & Chinggis Khaan Statue
Final 10 km trail run at Turtle Rock, followed by a visit to the Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex and transfer to the airport.
- 05:00 – Morning run 10 km @Turtle Rock
- 07:00 – Breakfast
- 09:00 – Visit Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex and take photos with eagles
- 12:00 – Transfer to Chinggis Khaan International Airport for departure
